Purpose of the position/responsibility:
Coordinates and leads the Procurement activities, acting as primary point of contact with internal and external partners, focusing on market scouting, cost savings opportunities, contract implementation and compliance, in line with COE’s identified strategies.
Specific assignments/primary activity:
In accordance with Corporate strategy, leads commodity to support overall goals for performance including Right First Time (RFT), On Time in Full (OTIF), Purchase Price Variance (PPV), savings targets, and Quality Assurance.
Supports vendor value management programs.
Builds and maintains positive vendor relationships through open and timely communication, on-site supplier visits/audits, regular performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
Drives site TT and PDS sourcing activities, projects and implementations.
Identifies cost savings opportunities within assigned categories.
Supports regulatory compliance activities: internal tracking systems, audit requirements, internal change controls, etc.
Leads pricing, quality supplier issues and supports documentation and Request for Council Action (RCA).
Participates in and/or supports product launch teams, technical transfer and integration projects.
Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers. Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics.
Handle relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
Collaborate with Supply Chain to keep stock levels Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.) Keep updated records
Requirements:
Education:
- MSc/MA in business administration, engineering or relevant field
Technical skills:
Market research, data analysis and purchasing standard methodologies
MS Office and purchasing software (e.g. SAP and ARIBA)
Professional experiences :
Six years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
Demonstrable experience in management of prices, and terms and conditions
Languages :
Italian, English
Personality traits :
Excellent interpersonal capabilities
A strong analytical approach
Outstanding organizational skills
Ability to travel between sites to provide support as required
