Jimcor Agency Inc. IT Helpdesk Support in Montvale, New Jersey

Jimcor Agencies is an Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Wholesaler.  We are currently seeking a Helpdesk person to join our growing IT Team.  

Position Overview:

The Helpdesk person is responsible for providing first level email, phone, and desktop support for 180 employees that are working from both offices and from home. This position offers daily challenges as well as exposure to various facets of IT outside of position responsibilities. The position is in Montvale, NJ and requires occasional travel to the branch locations. Training will be provided on an ongoing basis.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Setup new laptops, including docking stations, Windows 11, Microsoft Office suite, and third-party applications.

  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues on workstations and laptops.

  • Diagnose system failures and isolate faulty hardware or software.

  • Manage and track support requests.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with 3rd party software vendors to communicate and resolve software issues.

  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.

  • Administer new and existing user accounts in Active Directory.

  • Assist in server maintenance.

  • Research and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues. 

  • Assist in maintaining websites.

  • Audit hardware, software, and other peripherals for budgeting purposes.

  • Analyze the needs of the end users, solve problems, and effectively communicate on all levels of the company.

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of printers and scanners.

    Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Work well in a team as well as do independent research.

  • Ideal candidate has an Associates, Bachelors, or Certification in the IT field with up to 2 years of experience.

  • Ideal candidate is knowledgeable in Windows 11 and the Microsoft Office suite. 

  • Hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with occasional travel to branch offices and periodic evening updates.
