CAE USA INC Visual System Technician in Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada

About This Role

Responsibilities:

  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software problems originating in both the flight training devices and facility.

  • Test, calibration of visual systems of a Full Flight Simulators.

  • Test, calibration of the sound and audio system Respond to customers' training-related needs in a courteous and timely manner to ensure that flight training equipment is consistently reliable and available.

  • Perform logistical/administrative duties as required.

  • Shift work and international travel required (up to 6 months per year, approx. 2 weeks per trip).

Your Profile:

  • Technical diploma or degree in aviation or electronics or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Thorough understanding of computer/simulator architecture, particularly relationships between system components.

  • Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how to use electronic testing equipment.

  • Ability to learn and apply skills in the flight simulator environment in order to maintain and operate all required equipment.

  • Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong communication skills, particularly for technical information.

  • Able to work alone or as part of a dynamic technical team.

  • Experience in flight simulator or aviation environment an asset.

  • Understanding of visual projector and auto calibration systems.
