About This Role

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Scheduling Tasks:

  • Develop simulator, instructor, classroom & client schedules based on inputs and reservations received from Customers and Sales. Use discretionary judgment to optimize scheduling on all resources for maximum productivity.

  • Knowledge and application of CAE and Customer course curriculums applied to the reservations and scheduling process.

  • Exercise independent judgment in determining and assigning instructor resources to accomplish instructor training, client training, demonstrations, simulator certification and maintenance events.

Compliance:

  • Ensure all training events are assigned within appropriate regulations, including custom training programs approved by each respective Civil Aviation Authority, and CAE policy.

  • Knowledge of CAE course curriculums, Transport Canada, and FAA Part 142 Operations with a strong focus on quality and continuous drive towards process improvement

Conflict Management:

  • Resolve scheduling and instructor qualification conflicts.

  • Work with Training Managers to determine instructor qualifications and authorizations in order to appropriately assign the instructors to client training activities

  • Publish and post instructor schedules and advise instructors of subsequent changes.

  • Realign and revise client, instructor & resource schedules based on the changing requirements of end users & situations.

Client-Facing Duties:

  • Greeting scheduled and unscheduled customers to ensure their non-simulator needs are met at the facility

  • Full on-site activity will engage clients to make them feel welcome and ready before, during and after their training events

  • Able to initiate and deliver ideas for improvement as it relates to customer touchpoints around the training center

Qualifications Required

Demonstrated ability to:

  • Build open & cooperative working relationships with co-workers and across departments, with strong customer service orientation under adverse circumstances. Organized team player attitude with the proven ability to maintain composure under pressure.

  • Concentrate and work autonomously in a challenging and fast paced operations environment. Readily accepts changes and adjusts accordingly.

  • Results orientated with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Computer literacy with scheduling software and MS/Word/Outlook/Excel

Qualifications Preferred

  • Previous aviation scheduling experience, fleet planning, logistics.

  • Previous experience in an aviation related field - training, sales, operations, regulatory, crewmember

  • Bilingual French and English

  • 3-5 minimum years of professional work experience
