CAE USA INC Electronic Technician-Flight Simulator II-Part Time in Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada
About This Role
Responsibilities:
Technical operational support:
Provide technical support and perform preventative maintenance on Aircraft Full Flight Simulators.
Perform logistical duties, including parts receiving, repair, and testing/validation.
Technical investigative and integration support:
Diagnose and correct problems on Aircraft Full Flight simulators.
Assist with refurbishment and modification of simulator and aircraft parts.
Maintaining and documenting both software and hardware configuration control.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusio
Able to understand complex customer requirements and to read and interpret electrical and electro-mechanical drawings and design documents.
Administrative duties, documentation, and projects:
Update technical documentation and procedures.
Participate and actively learn in technical training courses and take advantage of on-the-job learning opportunities.
Perform and support various authority qualification exercises and issue client reports regarding simulator health and status.
Requirements
3-5 years of professional experience troubleshooting in a technical and customer domain. Open, resourceful, independent, and able to find and resolve complex issues through troubleshooting and critical thinking.
Interested in and understands the relationship between technical hardware and software interaction.
DEC in Electronic, Computer Science, Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written proficiency in French and English.
Assets preferred, but not required:
Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix
C++, Fortran or other languages including scripting
Knowledge of CAE software and applications
Aeronautical knowledge, including knowledge of avionics, flight dynamics, aircraft systems
