Your role

Are you passionate about journalism and looking for an exciting academic internship program? Radio-Canada News & Currents Affairs will be offering a limited number of unpaid internships in its Montreal newsroom and programming teams during the winter 2025 session.

On the air and off, it takes a large and diverse team to deliver distinctive, intelligent, entertaining and innovative programming in English, French and other languages, including Indigenous languages. You probably grew up watching the national public broadcaster. Here’s your chance to be part of our team! CBC/Radio-Canada is committed to reflecting our country’s diversity.

As a leader in expressing Canadian culture and enriching democratic life, we need to be as diverse in every way as the country we serve, both within our workforce and on air. As an employer, we value equal opportunity and nurture an inclusive workplace where our individual differences are not only recognized and valued, but also extend to and pervade all the services we provide as Canada’s public broadcaster.

Take this opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and experience you need to build your future in the media industry.

Requirements:

Interested students must be enrolled in a degree program at a Canadian university. The internship must count toward course credit.

You must provide a short introductory video (include the link in your resumé or letter of interest) and the following three (3) documents in French:

  • Letter of interest.

  • Your resumé.

  • Your most recent academic transcript.

Letters of recommendation may also be submitted with your application.

Deadline: For the winter 2025 session, we need to receive your application by October 27, 2024.

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
