The Role

Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Cloud Consultant with expert-level proficiency in either Azure, AWS or GCP to join our team. The ideal candidate will help customers define their cloud adoption strategies, technology strategies, and roadmap target operating models. This role also involves providing FinOps, ESG, Automation and DevSecOps consulting, acting as a trusted advisor, and participating in both pre-sales and consulting engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Strategy and Roadmap:

• Collaborate with customers to develop comprehensive cloud adoption strategies and technology roadmaps.

• Define target operating models that align with business objectives and technological requirements.

Technology Consulting:

• Provide expert guidance on on-prem VMWare and cloud technologies, including Azure, GCP and AWS, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.

• Advise on best practices for cloud architecture, design, and deployment.

FinOps Consulting:

• Offer insights and strategies for effective cloud financial management, helping customers optimize their cloud spending.

• Implement FinOps best practices to monitor, manage, and forecast cloud costs.

DevSecOps Consulting:

• Advise customers on integrating security practices into the DevOps process to ensure secure and compliant cloud operations.

• Provide recommendations for tools, processes, and methodologies that enhance security and efficiency.

Customer Relationship:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business challenges and technical needs.

• Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights and recommendations that drive customer success.

Pre-sales Support:

• Assist the sales team in pre-sales activities, including defining the scope of work (SOW), preparing proposals, and conducting solution demonstrations.

• Engage with potential customers to understand their needs and tailor solutions that meet their requirements.

Consulting Engagement Delivery:

• Lead and deliver consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.

• Provide post-implementation support to ensure the continued success of delivered solutions.

Who You Are

• Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience:

• Extensive experience in cloud consulting with a focus on Azure or AWS.

• Proven track record in defining cloud adoption strategies and technology roadmaps.

• Certifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert required of GCP Professional.

• VMWare Certified Professional

• FinOps certification is a strong advantage.

• Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Azure, GCP and/or AWS services and best practices.

• Strong VMWare knowledge to help customer in VMWare environment transformation and optimization

• Strong understanding of FinOps and cloud cost management principles.

• Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies and tools.

• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Security Engineer).

• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.

• Background in IT service management or consulting.
