Job Description
This job will require you to design and deliver a new set of enterprise applications across a broad range of functional areas that will serve a vast community of users across the globe. Experience with software architecture, cloud infrastructure, frontend/backend development, agile methodologies, and clean code principles is desired. We are a startup team with huge plans, a large vision, and a determination to move fast.

Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
6+ years of software engineering or related experience.
3-5 years of experience in mentoring and leading teams by providing technical expertise in, preferably, 0-1 product development. You will be the technical lead of a team of 6-10 engineers.
Strong system design knowledge and distributed systems architecture best practices
Knowledge of clean code principles and experience writing great code in Java or other OO languages.
Strong expertise in System Design, REST, SQL, and Data model
Experienced in any of the computing platforms, such as OCI, AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with CI/CD
Hands-on experience working with incident management, monitoring, observability, and testing methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms
Experience working with AI and Data Scientists teams. You will be working very closely with our Data Science team to build Gen AI capabilities within our product. This is a high-priority area.
Worked in Agile environments and with Agile methodologies - We are an agile development team

Responsibilities
You will
Work with Product managers to understand and refine requirements
Build prototypes - we are at the very early stages with lots of unknowns. Quick prototyping to answer questions will help you make faster decisions and move quickly.
Think large scale - The applications you will architect and build will be used across the globe.
Build, Deliver, and Own applications - your experience with the entire software development lifecycle will come in handy
Deliver increments in sprints - we will follow Agile development
Do root cause analysis to improve the quality of the product, simplify the development process, and improve the developer productivity - think continuous improvement
This is a startup team building a suite of 0-1 applications. The success of this initiative will depend on your ability to collaborate with a broad range of teams, and your enthusiasm to assist others and manage ambiguity - Think low ego, high empathy, and bias for action!
Success Measures
In 3 months, you'll be fully onboarded and helped with completing a proof of concept for our new product and completed performance and scalability analysis for the supporting 25 million users.
In 6 months,
you'll have a working product that will be available for our demo to our early adopters
You will come up with a detailed design and architecture for this new product.
You will lead a small team of 6-10 engineers by providing your technical expertise and sharing your experience in building a new product.
You'll lead the effort in deciding the right architecture, tools, frameworks, and processes to build, release, and support the product
You will help the team come up with best practices.
9 months - Help with the Product Go live with a good support/customer success process in place

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
