Oracle Senior Operations Mechanical Product Engineer in Montpelier, Vermont
Job Description
Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective manufacturing processes and supply chains for Oracle products. Provides technical support to products in the supply chain throughout their production life. Ensures quality and reliability goals are met. Ensures that high performing technical manufacturing processes are implemented and sustained for a product. This includes defining and meeting product specific cost, quality, reliability, and product delivery goals. May include designing and gaining approval for investment in a new equipment. This mechanical engineering supports New Product Development and product sustaining tasks for the company’s Global Liquid Cooling products.
Major Job Responsibilities, Duties and Activities
Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective manufacturing processes and supply chains for Oracle products. Provides technical support to products in the supply chain throughout their production life. Ensures quality and reliability goals are met.
Ensures that high performing technical manufacturing processes are implemented and sustained for a product. This includes defining and meeting product specific cost ,quality, reliability and product delivery goals. May include designing and gaining approval for investment in equipment and software.
drives continuous improvement programs for specific products and drive technical corrective action processes when a specific product does not meet key targets.
May coordinate other engineering functions to support new product introductions and product sustaining engineering work.
May carry out failure analysis tasks and program manage other engineering teams to carry out failure analysis
Is required to maintain a high level of expertise on specific products and to provide expert technical support and guidance to other functions.
Lead cross functional technical teams with development engineering, supplier quality engineering, and external manufacturing engineering. Focus
creates/modifies mechanical drawings/parts in CAD systems, such as CREO.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles (DMAIC or DFSS)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
3+ years of engineering product development or support experience.
Sheetmetal, plastic, casting design experience
Basic mechanical CAD tools experience.
CREO preferred.
Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Development Teams.
Basic working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety and test-methods.

- Experience with liquid cooling and/or cooling distribution units.

Responsibilities
Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
