Job Description:

Job Summary:

As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of home security systems. You will ensure that all equipment is installed correctly and functioning properly to provide customers with the highest level of security and peace of mind.

Will be installing Smart Doorbell, Smart thermostat, and a Smart Command Center with the goal of 4-5 per day.

Shifts:

Installs and service calls are typically scheduled at 3 times of day.

• 8:00 AM

• 12:00 PM

• 4:00 PM

Weekend Work: Monday – Saturday (Sundays off and will have one day off during the week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure home security systems, including cameras, alarms, and smart home devices.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on installed systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by customers.

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and questions.

• Educate customers on the use and features of their security systems.

• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

• Qualifications:

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

• Previous experience in a similar role or in the home security industry is a plus.

• Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Dress Code:

• Will provide each technician with shirts with their logos on it. They are to wear these everyday with clean blue jeans and work boots.

Tools/PPE Required:

• 6-foot ladder (they can get a Little Giant that folds up if they drive a sedan).

• Screwdrivers.

• Wire cutters.

• Hand sheetrock saw.

• Ideally an electric drill.

• Smart Phone.

• Valid Driver’s Lisence

Training Details:

Training Duration:

Training is up to 4 weeks. LMS Modules and virtual training. They will do either local or travel to train for 2-3 weeks. (This process may change when they buy in bulk this summer)

Travel for Training:

Our contractors will be required to travel for training to meet up with their closest trainer.
