- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Demonstrate integrity and responsibilities related to hospital operations, safety and
education.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Collects, reports, and documents patient data accurately in a timely fashion according to nursing policy.
- Performs any ancillary testing including but not limited to blood draws, oxygen set-ups, and EKGs.
- Completes all assigned tasks and communicates to the RN the patient responses to care provided in an accurate and timely manner.
- Responsible for knowledge, care, and troubleshooting of equipment specific to Emergency Department.
- Demonstrates responsibility for own competency/mandatories and annual performance evaluation by maintaining all personal data up to date. Meets educational requirements for new equipment materials, procedures, and technology. Prepares for the performance evaluation by submitting required documents one month prior to due date.
- Understands and follows health standards related to risk management, safety, and infection control.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Patient Care Manager, Director, Assistant Vice President, or Vice President of Patient Care Services deemed in best interest of the patient or organization.
- Adheres to and consistently supports professional standards and health care regulations that provide for and promote safety, quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrates responsibility for; maintaining knowledge base of current unit and hospital communication through a variety of modalities including but limited to communication books, posted notices, meeting minutes, Jackson hospital intranet and Jackson Hospital email.
