SMX has a Billing Supervisor at the Corporate Support role. The responsibilities revolve around a wide range of accounting skills. They are responsible for the operations and activities related to billing for the accounting department. This role will report directly to the Invoicing Manager the position will be a key support element to the Corporate Accounting Invoicing team.

Specific duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the Accounts Receivable team and making sure they have the proper work loads

  • Providing technical accounting support to A/R

  • Forecasting the weekly Accounts Receivable Projections

  • Tracking Accounts Receivable invoices and investigating nonpayment of Receivables

  • Posting of Invoicing daily

  • Collaborates with the various departments ex. (Finance, Contracts, Program Managers) to build relationships

  • Maintaining compliance with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA

  • Support internal and external audits with DCAA/DCMA, and other outside audits as required

  • Assist with contract closeouts including assisting with the process and documentation of the procedures

  • Prepare Monthly Reconciliations for Accounts Receivable accounts

  • Training of new employees and completing employee reviews

  • Invoicing Customers and Inter Company invoices when necessary

  • Work with the customer on identified issues regarding the final invoice, including answering questions, making corrections, and managing funding issues

  • Performing Collection efforts on Account Receivable items that are overdue

  • Completing Rate Variance Invoices

  • Project setup reviews to ensure accurate invoicing

  • Reporting or CAF/IFF and NASPO reporting

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience working with DCAA and DCMA including audit support

  • Strong Excel experience is required (Vlookups, Pivot tables)

  • 5-7 years of accounting experience in a government contracting environment

  • 2+ years of managerial and/or direct leadership experience

  • Must be able to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments for efficiency

  • Knowledge of Invoicing is required.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Experience in Deltek Costpoint; including Cognos and T&E

  • A Strong working knowledge of GAAP, FAR and compliance within highly regulated environments

  • Advanced strong attention to detail with a focus on analytics

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Costpoint Experience Familiarity with Government Invoicing requirements is desired

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a BS in Accounting, but Finance and other Business Administration degrees will be considered

The proposed salary for this position is:

$84,300—$140,500 USD
