The Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) team is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer to help them on a new long-term project. This is a remote opportunity; however, candidates must be geographically located within a 2-hour drive of the Dayton, OH or Montgomery, AL area to be considered.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Oversees engineering activities of an organization's information systems.
• Plans, designs, develops, evaluates, tests, and integrates an organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software.
• Captures, understands, translates, and documents customer requirements.
• Defines system and product requirements; and generates mechanical, electrical, and software performance and reliability specifications and requirements.
• Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.
• Manages and documents system configurations and oversees all transitions into production.
• Performs troubleshooting and remediation, ensures successful project implementation, and performs post project end user support.

Requirements

• Candidate must be a US Citizen
• Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
• Candidate must be geographically located in the Dayton, OH, or Montgomery, AL area to be considered for this position.
• Candidate must have 5+ years' experience in information system oversight.
• Candidate must have experience in troubleshooting on-premises system-level issues in Windows and Linux

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Experience working on US Air Force IT Projects.
• Bachelor's degree

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Description $85,000 - $100,000
