About the Team:

The DevOps engineer will be responsible for the deployment of changes from lower to higher environments Production/QA/UAT, supporting CI/CD processes. This position works with software developers, integration developers, business system analysts, project managers and other IT members to automate and improve development and release processes, establish consistent use of best practices, make deployment cycles shorter, and ensure that our release processes are designed to meet our business & technical needs efficiently and scale for future growth.

About you:

• Understand the current deployment process, design, and implement a set of standard procedures to be used for build, deployment, and configuration management.

• Work with multiple IT delivery teams to set up automated CI/CD pipeline processes to support Enterprise systems.

• Promote deployments from lower to higher environments Production/QA/UAT environments on pre-define schedule after CAB approval.

• Support post refresh deployment tasks (DEV/QA/UAT) from production environment

• Evangelize the usage of automation tools/processes.

• React quickly to feedback to continuously improve the processes.

• Research new technologies that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of the existing processes.

• Foster collaboration with stakeholders, train/support to other team members with new CI/CD process

• Analyze the current technology and develop plans and processes for improvement and future growth.

• Perform routine maintenance to ensure production environment runs smoothly.

• Demonstrate ‘customer first’ mindset to ensure delivery of quality service to stakeholders.

• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers and Salesforce support to enable features and resolve sandbox/production issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Software development

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role

• Experience in Continuous Integration Tools (Git, GitHub actions, Jenkins, Nexus, Ant, vscode and Azure DevOps)

• Understanding of modern DevOps/SRE concepts including automation, configuration management, branching strategy, immutability, observability, and reliability

• Experience with scripting like Yaml, PowerShell and Python

• Experience with containers and container orchestration platforms

• Experience with Git as a source control system

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in deployment strategies – Blue/Green, Canary Deployment

• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision

• Experience with automated deployment for Enterprise Platforms like Salesforce, Azure EDW and Dynamics 365 is a huge plus.

• A good team player, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication and able to rotate in shift system.

• Experience with Salesforce technology. Salesforce administrator/developer certification is huge plus.
