Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a SAP GTS (Global trade system) Consultant. As our new colleague, you will be part of a well-functioning global team of committed and experienced IT consultants, and be a key player in our “One ERP” program, bringing those business requirements into a live system. You will also have a central role in making sure we are ready for the future of GTS, meaning developing future architecture and functionalities in SAP GTS environment.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Analyze, design, and implement SAP GTS solutions to meet business requirements.

• Configure SAP GTS modules including Compliance Management, Customs Management, Risk Management, and Electronic Compliance Reporting.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their processes and translate them into SAP GTS functionality.

• Conduct workshops and training sessions to gather requirements and provide knowledge transfer.

• Perform system upgrades, integrations, and testing to ensure smooth functioning of the SAP GTS system.

• Provide support for troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of trade processes.

• Ensure compliance with global trade regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in trade laws and practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, finance, and IT to ensure seamless integration of GTS with other SAP modules and external systems.

• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineer, Information technology or related field.

• Proven experience in SAP GTS implementation and support.

• Experience with SAP ERP, particularly integration points with GTS.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team. English is must.

• Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP GTS modules and features.

• Familiarity with ABAP programming and debugging is preferred.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.

• Understanding of EDI and interfacing with customs authorities' systems.
