Xylem Development Quality Engineer - Electronics in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Product requirements analysis starting from Voice of the Customer, market analysis, benchmarking, lessons learnt.

  • Define quality goals linked to the project.

  • Sponsor of design review and design-FMEA as per a risk analysis approach.

  • Moderate in Design-FMEA and Critical Characteristic definition in multifunctional team.

  • Support the definition of the Design Validation plan, including the Firmware and functionalities verification.

  • Technical Specifications review, including the electronic parts review with Suppliers, production requirements and testing definition.

  • Safe launch plan supervising the production process development and start up, guaranteeing the availability and completeness of deliverable for each stage.

  • Conduct Validation Activities on Software/Firmware in inverter applications for water pumping systems.

  • Analyze issues on products identifying root causes and support solution definition. Drive a problem-solving attitude involving appropriate departments.

  • Understand main software/firmware structures, review functions, use cases and define testing strategies on final application or in simulated applications.

  • Accountable of APQP activities in charge of Quality into Xylem Product Development (XPD) projects

  • Support hardware and firmware specification and design review activities with Suppliers and Xylem R&D

  • Support Supply chain definition and Suppliers Qualification activities.

  • Support ISO 9001 activity and be part of the internal auditor team.

  • Work accordingly to Safety standard ISO 45001 and quality standard ISO 9001.

  • Workspace area in line with 5s guidelines

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent

Good communication skills in written and spoken English.

Experience in similar position and/or Supplier Quality engineering is preferred, within electronic and/or electrical industries

Basics of Firmware/Software automatized Validation (ex. Jenkins) and/or LabviewElectric/Electronic Schematic reading and PCBA analysis

Use of PC, MS Office, Access and Minitab

Auditor certification is preferred

Problem solving approach and a root cause analysis methodology knowledge

Team working attitude

Natural attitude to create open and honest relationship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work in Agile sprints as Quality assurance tester (Kanban or Scrum)
