Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Montclair, NJ. In this role you will support the AP Supervisor with the following:

• Initiate the scanning of all received vendor/utility invoices

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable invoices, including general ledger coding, descriptions, and allocations

• Regularly interact with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise

• Allocate American Express expenses as required

• Perform filing and copying tasks as needed

• Execute data entry tasks in both Yardi and QuickBooks

• Provide assistance to others in the team as necessary

• Take on special projects as assigned

• Work in a proactive manner beyond the narrow and specific job responsibilities to advance the goals of the company

Requirements

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of general ledger coding

• Experience working with Excel Formulas and QuickBooks required

• Strong administrative and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask effectively
