DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The SSG Process Development team is looking to add an experienced level Tech Transfer Engineer to the dynamic group. The research engineer's principal responsibility is leading the technical transfer of new OLED products from lab scale to manufacturing facilities. You will work at our Monroeville, PA R&D Center and report to the Group Leader II.
Key Responsibilities * Lead the development and implementation strategy for effective technical transfers of new products/processes into the global manufacturing facilities. * Ownership of detailed technology transfer packages to facilitate process transfer from the lab to a manufacturing site, including process flow diagram, mass balances, critical to quality process parameters, safety assessments, batch log-sheet reviews, etc. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate the transfer process and address challenges. * Collaborate with process development team to identify potential process issues, collect/analyze process data for scale-up calculations, understand new processes and technology as they related to manufacturing operations. * Work with engineering to identify key process parameters for scale-up and develop a process workflow for new manufacturing processes * Monitor and evaluate the progress of technology transfer projects, identifying areas for optimization and implementation of improvement plan. * Implement a RFT metric to evaluate effectiveness of the tech transfer process. * Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis during the technical transfer process. * Works in a safe manner. Reads, understands and follows all pertinent SOPs
Qualifications * Master's in chemical engineering with 0+ years of experience * Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 2+ years of experience in specialty chemical or pharmaceutical industries. * Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
