The Standard Routing Technician is to develop and maintain standard routings within the manufacturing system.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
Develop and maintain standard routings within our manufacturing systems.
Perform a variety of posting, filing, and data accumulation functions towards the preparation and issuance of manufacturing mill order travelers.
Follow other projects and studies as requested. Make measurements, make observations, and record data as necessary. Make recommendations for improvement to the process to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Detect and report unusual conditions, improper operations, and personal mistakes for the purpose of rectifying these deviant situations. Follow prescribed safety regulations. Perform these and other duties as assigned or as indicated by responsibilities.
Initiate mill order travelers, indicating operational sequences, inspections, certifications and other pertinent data including starting billet weight and size if applicable. Proofread travelers to insure conformance to customer specifications and internal requirements.
