Aerotek Material Handler- 2nd/3rd Shift in Monroe, Michigan

Job Description

  • They will be working within a steel processing environment where they are expected to work in conjunction with the production staff to stage and move large coils of steel for the production (galvanizing, zinc plating process).

  • Their main duties throughout the day will be supporting the slitter, pickling or galvanizing lines.

  • The Material Handlers will be unloading the trucks with coil, loading the lines etc. They will be operating a forklift and or overhead crane on a regular basis.

  • They will be taught safety standards on the work site and will be taken through all necessary training to make sure that they can operate the machinery effectively and safely. This is a long-term opportunity. There is a lot of growth.

  • Most people in this position grow to be an operator making $20 per hour.

  • Must have worked in a steel/construction environment Prior

2nd Shift:

4:00 PM - 12:00 AM (midnight) Monday - Friday

They will also be working every other weekend. They are paid x1.5 for that Saturday, and x2 for that Sunday.

3rd Shift:

12:00 AM (midnight) - 8:00 AM Monday - Friday

They will also be working every other weekend. They are paid x1.5 for that Saturday, and x2 for that Sunday.

AVERAGE HOURS: Range from 40-60 hours per week.

TRAINING:

Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) for roughly 2 weeks.
