ProMedica Health System Manager - Nursing Administration - Full Time - Days in Monroe, Michigan

ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services in southern Michigan and Ohio. A national leader in treatment of heart attack, congestive heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care, ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital is also a pacesetter in Michigan for obstetrics, emergency care, intensive care, controlling infections and organ donation.

Position Summary:

Assumes twenty-four (24) hour responsibility for the coordination of quality care in a safe, convenient, timely and efficient manner to patients/families. Collaborates with the Director, department personnel, medical staff, and various administrative staff in planning for and providing quality and consistent patient care/services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Facilitate unit organization and management within established policies and procedures, standards of care, budgetary parameters, productivity, fire and safety regulations, and other department-specific requirements.

  • Function as a role model by maintaining effective working relationships with all members of the hospital and medical staff through cooperation, coordination, and mutual respect.

  • Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.

  • Coaches and facilitates the growth, development, and engagement of employees within the department including employee competencies and annual performance appraisals.

  • Manages daily operations to achieve the safety, quality, experience, and financial goals for the department.

  • Strives for continuous improvement by focusing on key department systems and goals.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

Skills: Must be well organized

Years of Experience: Must have 3-5 years’ RN experience

License: Must be currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio or Michigan (dependent on location)

Certification: N/A

Education: Master’s degree

Certification: Specialty certification
