Magnolia River Services Project Specialist with CAD experience in Monroe, Louisiana
Description
Primary Function : The Engineering Project Specialist is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and economical gas pipeline and facility designs by utilizing expertise gained from years of experience “in the field.”
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform site visits, provide constructability analysis, and advise on tie-in design, pressure testing, and workspace area issues.
Advise on natural gas pipeline construction materials and
Review P&IDs and plans (30%, 60%, 90%, IFB, IFC) and provide suggestions for
Develop conceptual designs, cost estimates, and project scope materials for transmission or distribution pipelines, meter and regulating stations, and other project
Coordinate and secure easement and construction permits from local, state, federal, and other approval agencies (environmental, ).
Follow projects from design through the design and construction process to ensure timely completion and accurate posting of construction documents, as-built data,
Mentor staff in natural gas pipeline and facility construction
Develop and maintain a professional rapport with the client, project team members, and internal/external
Maintain target billable goals and participate in process improvement team efforts to achieve divisional/company
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human
Perform other duties as
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of state and local permitting
Knowledge of PHMSA 192 regulations and industry
Knowledge of computer applications and functions including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook, and Project Management software.
Ability to read and edit natural gas pipeline plans.
Ability to use Google Earth (KMZ) for project site
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, with project team and management staff.
Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal
Ability to travel and work extended hours for project assignments and duties as needed
Ability to interface with client field representatives to solve problems/suggest
Ability to interact in a respectful and courteous manner with the project team and with other divisions.
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree plus five (5) years’ experience in natural gas pipeline design or installation OR a equivalent combination of education and experience.
Completion of numerous diverse project types (facility, new install, replacement, operations and maintenance manuals, )
Experience with AutoCAD and/or GIS ArcMap.
Physical Demands : Duties are performed in an office environment and on construction sites.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the workday.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
