Job Description

A top aerospace client is looking for a Cost Accountant sitting hybrid (3 days/ week on-site) in Mojave, CA. Day-to-day will incorporate financial performance analysis encompasses cost variance assessments and data review to ensure compliance with GAAP, CAS, and government regulations using Deltek Costpoint. Additionally, running monthly reconciliations, assist in financial statement preparation, and ensure adherence to FAR and CAS. Collaboration across departments guarantees accurate cost allocation, while our budgeting and forecasting are structured organizationally will be essential. There will be a focus on variance analysis, policy and procedure efficacy, and identify opportunities for process enhancements. Overall, the cost accountant will support financial leadership in analysis and reporting endeavors. The salary ranges from $120,000-$145,000/yr.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments

Ability to research, analyze, understand and prepare concise and meaningful information inputs to decision makers

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field

Minimum 5 years experience in cost accounting or similar role

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

In-depth knowledge of government regulations, including FAR and CAS

Proficient with Deltek Costpoint ERP Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or equivalent experience

Aerospace industry experience null
