IT Technician

L ocalisation :

Position based in Moissy-Cramayel (77 500) with travel to Chalifert (77 144) to be expected.

The group offers compressed air equipment (screw compressors, piston compressors, centrifugal compressors, air dryers, air filters, etc.), pumps, as well as power tools, lifting and fluid handling products.

Job Summary

The primary objective of the position is to implement, maintain and improve the personal computing environment, IT infrastructure and provide support services to end users at Gardner Denver and IR France entity sites.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd level IT support on-site (Moissy-Cramayel and Chalifert) and remotely

  • Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve end user hardware and software issues

  • Provide local hands-on support to global SME infrastructure teams (server, network, security)

  • Support SME Infrastructure Team initiatives and deployments

  • Manage local computer resources and the refresh process

  • Participate in local, regional and global IT projects and initiatives as directed.

  • Maintain a stable and operational local IT infrastructure environment

  • Identify and highlight continuous improvement actions

  • Log incidents in the ticketing system for all support work

  • Maintain global IT standards and processes

  • Provide on-site emergency support outside of business hours as required.

  • Maintain local server backup infrastructure

  • Engage in collaboration with broader regional and global technical teams.

  • Other responsibilities as directed

  • Integrate the IT France shared service center and contribute to the resolution of all requests

Qualification and education requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Bac +3 minimum or equivalent in IT

  • ITIL certifications desirable

Desired skills

  • Team spirit, but also the ability to work alone and on one's own initiative.

  • A high level of customer orientation is essential

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Technical knowledge and skills in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software

Experience or exposure to as many of the following as possible:

Windows Client Operating System (7/10), Printers, Office 365 Suite Portfolio, Teams, Active Directory, Windows Server, TCP/IP, SCCM, Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN/WLAN Technologies, SDWAN, Cabling and Fiber

Travel and work arrangements and requirements:

  • travel to be expected on the Chalifert site as much as necessary to provide assistance to users, new employees

  • occasional trips to the sites of Saint Quentin Fallavier (38) and Limonest (69)
