We are looking to hire an experienced NDT technician to conduct rigorous NDT tests for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and calibrating testing equipment, conducting material tests, interpreting results, and generating reports on your findings.

To be successful as an NDT technician, you should have extensive experience with NDT technologies, strong attention to detail, and meticulous reporting skills. Ultimately, a top-notch NDT technician provides reliable and detailed information about structural stability, leading to improved quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.

• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.

• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.

• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.

• Organize and report test results.

• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma Must possess and maintain NDT Level II certifications in RT (X-Ray Tube and Computed Radiography) and PT (UTT, VT and MT optional).

• Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000.
