What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: Your prior experience in roles with an emphasis on data analysis and software administration should demonstrate your success as a proactive, independent thinker who is adept at problem solving and anticipating needs. As a Compensation Analyst on Hargrove’s Corporate Team, you’ll put your analytic and critical thinking talents to work as you help administer the organization’s compensation initiatives.

Reporting to the Talent Development Leader, you will play an instrumental role as you:

  • Advise Leaders and the Recruiting Team on market conditions and pay data

  • Identify and surface trends and strategies to encourage Teammate engagement and retention as well as to help influence Hargrove’s standing as a competitive, preferred employer

  • Maintain compensation and job components of Workday HCM

  • Maintain job architecture and job description catalog

  • Assess jobs and duties to determine exempt status classification

  • Maintain compensation database software and related internal benchmarking resources

  • Perform research, gather data, and present findings

  • Identify and complete compensation and HR surveys

  • Assist in administration of annual merit cycles

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Ideal Background

To become Hargrove’s Compensation Analyst, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • 2 years of prior experience as a Compensation Analyst or equivalent Accounting, Benefits, or HR Analyst experience

  • 2 years of prior experience in Workday in a functional/configuration role or equivalent, transferrable HCM experience with a demonstrated aptitude to learn

  • 5 years of experience operating in a customer service capacity (internal or external) with demonstrated success building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated success compiling and interpreting data, creating reports, analyzing data, calculating common compensation and HR-related metrics, and developing actionable insights

  • Prior experience performing FLSA and State salary basis, salary level, and duties tests to make exempt status determinations

  • Demonstrated success performing research relevant to the HR/Compensation field

  • Ability to actively listen and ascertain the needs of Teammates and Clients

  • Steadfast integrity and professionalism

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and re-prioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitments

  • Attention to detail to ensure complete and precise work

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

  • Professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
