On-Call Crisis Nursery Worker (Part-Time)

$22.23/hourly Starting wage dependent on experience and qualifications
About the Position:
This position performs a variety of technical and supportive duties related to working with children and families in crisis situations. This includes providing direct care to children, preparing meals, housekeeping, coordinating age-appropriate activities, and more. Additionally, this role will complete intake paperwork, schedule use of the center, and provide referrals for other community resources.
Essential Functions:
Provide direct care
Work with families at the center and over the crisis line
Complete intake paperwork
Provide ongoing structured, stable and interactive environment
Assist children with daily needs Assists in overseeing volunteers
Provides appropriate supervision based on the child's safety needs
Checks youth's belongings and confiscates unsafe or illegal materials
Maintains records

Laws concerning youth

Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; AND
Two (2) years of experience performing related duties; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Must obtain a CPR, First Aid certification, and Food Handler's Permit within three (3) months of employment.
This is a part-time, on-call position
