Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

• Build and maintain electrical controls, circuits, control panels, and other operations equipment.

• Solve advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

• Program and troubleshoot control systems including robotics and PLC-based automation.

• Collaborate with manager and plant management to improve processes with respect to equipment.

• Schedule and coordinate with vendors for repairs, training, and installations.

• Provide training for technicians, manufacturing engineers, and leads.

• Perform 5S activities and inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization.

Hard Skills

• 5+ years of industrial experience OR Associate's degree with 3 years experience

• Experience working with CMMS to create, approve, and close work orders

• Read and understand orders, blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics

• Lock out/tag out certification (preferred)

• PPE identification and usage

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mitchell, South Dakota.

Work Environment

Continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat and cold. Occasionally exposed to high places, fumes. Noise level - loud.
