Amazon Sr. Program Manager, DSP 1.0, DSP1.0 Program Team in Mississauga, Ontario

The Canada DSP Program team is committed to spearheading sustainable solutions that enhance Safety, Experience, and Performance for DSPs and OTR Operations. We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our team as a Sr. Program Manager to manage the interface between DSPs, OTR Operations and various other Support and Program Teams.

In this role, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive a culture of professional service and safety. You will identify, develop, and improve strategies for OTR and DSP Operations Teams to achieve our mission. Implementing standard work across teams, you will drive efficient and high-quality execution and delivery.

The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, highly organized, and able to effectively work with internal and external contacts. You should be comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading, with the ability to "roll up your sleeves" to drive initiatives to completion. Strong written and verbal communication skills, superior attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential.

You will be accountable for planning, resolution, and execution, proactively escalating issues as necessary. Experience with a wide variety of operational and contractual concepts is key to performing this role successfully in our dynamic and ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve oveoverall program performance and efficiency.

Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including service partners, internal teams, and cross-functional departments.

Analyze program data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Lead the development and implementation of standard work processes across teams to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.

Oversee training and development programs to enhance the capabilities of service partners and internal team members.

Drive continuous improvement efforts, identifying and implementing best practices across the network.

Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of program initiatives.

Develop and maintain documentation for program processes, policies, and procedures.

Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex operational challenges and implement innovative solutions.

Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, safety, and contractual obligations within the program.

Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations to leadership on program performance and strategic initiatives.

Identify and mitigate potential risks to program success, escalating issues as necessary.

Foster a culture of safety, customer obsession, and operational excellence throughout the network.

Collaborate with other regional teams to share best practices and align on global initiatives.

About the team

The Canada DSP1.0 Program team is committed to spearheading sustainable solutions that enhance Safety, Experience, and Performance for DSPs and OTR Operations. Our dedicated team collaborates with various central program teams to ensure alignment on the Canadian scope for new initiatives. Ideally, this collaboration takes place during the OP1 process. Serving as a crucial filter, we assess central program elements that pose risks in the distinctive Ontario market. Additionally, we construct or modify programs tailored for the DSP1.0 Program when we are deemed out of scope, ensuring a targeted approach to address unique challenges.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
