Senior Proposal Analyst

We have a very rewarding opportunity available for a Senior Proposal Analyst to join our team in Ottawa, ON .

As our Senior Proposal Analyst, you will be working for various Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions Business Units and will be required to take a proactive approach to responding to customer solicitations and be comfortable with ambiguity. You will be required to interpret the requirements of the solicitation and identify team member roles and responsibilities, generate a proposal execution plan, and develop a schedule to provide timely commitments back to the customer.

You will get to work with sales and business development staff, as well as technical and support staff, to ensure that proposals reflect the best technical, management, and price offerings that Curtiss-Wright can make to get to a winning position on RFQs and RFPs.

Your Challenge:

  • Responsible for all Bids and Proposals, including RFI's, RFQs, RFP's and a variety of informal requests for product and program information

  • Responds to RFQ/RFP releases and other calls for proposals; drive’s proposal development and manages proposal teams to ensure proposals meet all customer requirements; and follow-through on compliant and timely proposal submission.

  • Prepares cost and pricing proposals using elements of cost provided by other departments in accordance with company pricing and approval policies

  • Maintains the proposal management processes applicable to the Business Units, including proactive identification and implementation of process improvements

  • Leads the preparation of the technical, management, and cost inputs to achieve a response in line with the RFP requirements and bid strategy

  • Leads and organizes ongoing proposal meetings to identify and resolve problems and share information

  • Leads the assembly and production of a complete submission which meets all RFP requirements

  • Ensures that proposal capture win strategy (technical approach, pricing, NRE, deliverables, etc.) is discussed and challenged throughout the proposal process

  • Leads or participates in kick-off meetings; oversees team's effort through the writing process; leads proposal reviews as well as cost and pricing meetings; obtains management and corporate approvals

Your Expertise:

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in Proposal Development and Management is mandatory

  • Ability to manage the develop of program cost and pricing in accordance with company policies.

  • Minimum 7 years related experience, with 3-5 years in Proposal Development

  • Multi-disciplined background or exposure to one or more of the following areas: program management, cost/pricing analysis, project engineering, business development, or contracts

  • Familiarity with Military and Aerospace market and customer base is desired, but not mandatory

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office business applications

  • Proficient in SAP ERP, PIVOTAL CRM, or equivalents is desired but not mandatory

  • Understanding of corporate and government financial concepts and ability to develop cost and pricing in accordance with company policies

  • Project management and team leadership skills and experience

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadline requirements with minimal supervision
