Responsibilities of the Printing Press Feeder include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Pressman in the operation of the printing press.

  • Performs set-up for feed system.

  • Assists second Pressman to change plates and blankets.

  • Ensures all press supplies are available.

  • Assists in washing plates, blankets, rollers and ink fountains as required.

  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.

  • Maintains general housekeeping.

  • Follows all company policies and processes.

  • Attends and participates in on-going training as needed and required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.

  • 2 - 5 years experience preferred/related experience. On-the-job training will be required.

Skills and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be familiar with and able to adhere to all company safety policies and government legislation. (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act).

  • Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and managers in a professional and courteous manner, per the company Code of Conduct and Ethics.

  • Can work independantly or as a team.

  • Must be able to adapt to changing work priorities in fast-paced environment while completing daily tasks.

  • Ability to take initiative.

  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Good physical condition and capable of heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.)

Work Schedule:

  • Successful candidate must be able to work all shifts, including but not limited to, days, evenings, afternoons, continental, weekends and holidays, without exception, in a 24/7 continuous operation environment.
