Premier Truck Group Accounting Recieviable Admin in Mississauga, Ontario
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
Responsible for a portfolio of customer accounts
Reviews and reconciles customer accounts
Performs soft collection calls.
Deals with customer inquiries.
Scans/E-mails/Faxes accounts receivable accounting documents where necessary
Maintains electronic collection notes on the system
Maintains customer account name file and other administration as requested by customers both internal and external
Reviews and releases overrides.
Processes and applies payments.
Assists in month end statement run.
Performs reference check on credit applications and credit review.
Places and discharges liens as requested by AR supervisor.
Sends demand letters
Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
Reconciles schedules on the 3rd Friday of the month prior to closing or as defined by departmental and company policy
End of Month to be completed by the end of the 3rd working day or as defined by departmental and company policy
Follows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
Understands and follows all work rules and follows directions from Supervisors
Upholds the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
Attends pertinent training on request
Attends company meetings as required
Other duties as assigned
Accounts Receivable Requirements:
Two to four year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
Proficient in data entry and time management
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work performed
Good communication skills both oral and written with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Ability to interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale throughout the organization
