Position Summary: The Registration Clerk in the Emergency Room (ER) is primarily responsible for providing effective customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers. This role involves greeting and registering patients, verifying insurance information, and ensuring accurate data entry into the hospital's electronic health record system.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greet and register patients as they arrive in the ER, providing them with necessary information and assistance.

• Accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into the computer system.

• Verify insurance eligibility and communicate financial responsibilities to patients and their families.

• Collect co-pays, co-insurance

• Answer phones, take messages, and return voicemails promptly.

• Follow HIPAA guidelines.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
