Job Description
A company in Mishawaka is seeking a dedicated kitter/inventory clerk for the 2nd shift. This company supplies hydraulic valve manifolds for the fluid power industry. The successful candidate will gather parts from inventory/vertical storage units and kit them for specific assembly orders, using and updating the ERP system. They will also manage an area with unfinished kits, ensuring accuracy and detail in their work. This role requires collaboration with the 1st shift kitter and taking ownership to improve processes over the next several months.
Responsibilities
Gather parts from inventory/vertical storage units for specific assembly orders
Kit parts using the ERP system, update and correct the ERP system as needed
Cart the kit and bring it to assembly
Manage and complete unfinished kits from the 'island of misfit toys'
Ensure accuracy and detail in all tasks
Collaborate with the 1st shift kitter
Transact items in and out of the ERP system and correct data when needed
Essential Skills
ERP software experience
RF scanner experience
1-3 years of picking and/or kitting experience
Attention to detail (valve families very similar)
Organization skills/mindset
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous kitting/warehouse experience
Experience improving processes
Familiarity with InFor ERP system

Work Environment
