Job Summary
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the management of one or multiple moderately complex projects concurrently; plans and performs analysis of company functions, processes, and activities.
Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead a dynamic team of business analysts, infrastructure, and software engineers. This role requires managing the construction and maintenance of mission-critical, high-visibility applications and hardware to support our business objectives. This position will be full-time, onsite, and a contract that renews on a semi-annual basis.
What You'll Do
Manage project scope and timeline, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
Develop project estimates using established models and best practices
Define roles and expectations for project team members, providing necessary training
Integrate and oversee project requirements
Monitor project progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery
Implement and manage project iterations
Maintain comprehensive project documentation
Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
Coordinate with various teams and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships
Adhere to and enforce quality assurance processes
Manage changes through a defined scope change process
Represent the project team in both IT and business meeting
What You'll Need
Required:
Proven experience with project management in a technical environment
5+ years of Project Management experience, with a preference for candidates with a technical background and team leadership or project management experience.
Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage conflicts
Strong problem-solving, supervisory, and team leadership abilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated with a focus on quality delivery
3-5 years of Waterfall project management experience
1-3 years of Agile/Scrum Master experience
Preferred:
Experience with vendor management
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Scrum Master certification preferred
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and technical teams
Proven leadership and team coordination skills
Strong multitasking ability and accountability
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
