The primary purpose of this position is:
To exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trades and labor work associated with Plumbing, Water Treatment, Wastewater Disposal, Utility Systems, and Liquid Fuel Systems for the Water and Fuels System Maintenance (CEOIU) Section.
Duties

Recruitment Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.
Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Other significant facts pertaining to this position are
:
1.
The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. A state valid drivers license must be obtained and maintained for the position.
Incumbents are required to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance as a condition of employment.
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
Shift work may be required.
The incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
The work may require the incumbent to be certified in the use of a respirator.
The work may require the incumbent to be certified for entry into hazardous confined spaces for inspection, cleaning, and repair.
In accordance with State Law, the incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a North Dakota State Water and wastewater level 2 license.
In accordance with Federal Law, the incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain an American Backflow Prevention license or equivalent
