Fairview Health Services Senior Chef in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Chef at Amira Choice of Minnetonka. This culinary role is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and senior age resident expectations. Cook Position works on a team with Server/Culinary Assistants at our Minnetonka, MN location. This culinary leader position schedule includes;

  • 80 hours every two weeks

  • 10 hour shifts

  • Includes every other weekend and holiday rotations

Responsibilities Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Preparing meals by following standardized recipes

  • Handling and preparing food safely, adhering to policies and infection control standards

  • Ensuring timely meal production and service to residents

  • Setting up line service

  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work area after each use

  • Assisting with special events

  • Supporting the Culinary Director with staff supervision and training

  • Supporing the Culinary Director with orders

Qualifications

Required:

  • ServSafe certification or acquisition within 90 days of start date

  • Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications

  • Strong problem-solving and time leadership skills

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Age 18 or older

Preferred:

  • Vocational/technical training or degree

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Cooking experience in a similar environment

  • Scratch cooking experience
