Our large pharma client is seeking a Product Manager to join their team for the next 5 months. This role is 40 hours/week and onsite in Pleasanton, CA or Minnetonka, MN. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled contractor to assist with the execution and preparation for a major launch of a new mobile application and remote patient management software. The ideal candidate will have experience in launching software as a medical device or mobile applications, with a strong preference for those with upstream medical device marketing experience. Top Skills Needed: Launch Experience: Minimum of 3 years in medical device product commercialization, focusing more on upstream activities. Software Launching/Commercialization: Experience in launching software or mobile applications, with mandatory medical device experience. Program Management: Ability to navigate large, multi-faceted programs with various collaborators. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the final stages of marketing development and launch of the product. Develop and execute strategic marketing plans and activities for the product(s)/project(s)/product line(s). Conduct market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs. Establish pricing strategies and develop business plans for product positioning in the marketplace. Lead cross-functional teams with minimal supervision to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Maximize the profitability of product lines by collaborating with assigned staff, conducting market research, and performing financial analyses. Contribute to the development of an annual departmental budget by forecasting future needs. Propose resource allocation to manage products' life cycle from concept through retirement. Ensure projects align with product line strategy and effectively convey messaging. Coach others within Marketing in the development of projects and/or programs. Represent the company by visiting accounts to solicit feedback on products and services. Understand project timelines and present recommendations based on risk analysis when projects are off course. Preferred Qualifications: Senior-level Product Manager experience is preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA is strongly preferred. Thorough understanding of AV business, product lines, market space, and Abbott businesses.
