How you will make an impact The Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, manages the preparation of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") filings, oversees the design and execution of controls within the internal control framework, accounting for debt instruments and related debt covenant requirements, maintaining XBRL tagging of financial statements and interfaces with the external auditors for completion of quarterly reviews and annual integrated audits. In this role, you will also prepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions, record certain equity related transactions and complete census reporting. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: Prepare the SEC Form 10-Q, 10-K and 8-k filings and earnings press releases. Draft technical memorandums/white papers documenting accounting positions taken by the Company, including potential M&A transactions. Prepare monthly accounting entries for various debt instruments. Coordinate and compile the completion of quarterly debt covenant reviews and related compliance certificates. Maintain and review XBRL tagging of financial statements. Consolidate legal entities and prepare monthly financial statements. Prepare quarterly GAAP disclosure checklists. Lead the internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance design. Review and update process narratives and control matrices for SOX compliance. To succeed in this role, you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience and 5 years of public accounting experience (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered) CPA licensure required. Prior exposure to SEC rules and regulations required. Solid understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and COSO standards required. Working knowledge of Workiva and XBRL is a plus. Proven knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial reporting rules and regulations with a strong technical accounting background is a plus. Public company and SOX-compliant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience preferred. The most likely base pay range for this position is $101K - $152K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
