Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are seeking a VP/Director of Finance to join our team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a key player in our team, you will be instrumental in the execution of our financial strategy and the management of our financial operations. You will work cross-functionally to enhance program performance, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, and manage stakeholder relations. This role also involves team leadership responsibilities, with a focus on fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the organization's financial strategy and provide financial counsel to leadership team, staff, and Board of Trustees

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance program performance

• Oversee the process of budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial reporting

• Manage the organization's investment portfolio and endowments

• Lead the annual audit process and ensure tax compliance

• Implement financial technologies and best practices to optimize financial operations

• Hire, train, and mentor accounting staff fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development

• Present financial reports to the leadership team and Board of Trustees

• Manage relationships with external financial partners and ensure compliance with funding source requirements Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role

• Proven expertise in Budget Processes, Audit, and Grant Accounting

• Familiarity with Charitable Remainder Trusts and Endowment Funds is required

• Knowledge of Endowments and Financial Forecasting is essential

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting is a must

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to make strategic financial decisions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation

• CPA or MBA in Finance is preferred

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are necessary

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Proficiency in financial software and systems is required

• Strong organizational and planning skills are necessary.
