This position will join a collaborative team to support the understanding of enterprise data through partnerships with administrative, collegiate, and departmental units as the University modernizes its technology architecture to support the use of enterprise data across the University of Minnesota's five campuses. The individual will support key data projects and improve the University community's understanding and use of institutional data across the University which underlies the delivery of key strategic areas such as the systemwide strategic planning, annual official data reporting processes, accreditation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEIJ) initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team and have the desire to align data-related best practices across the institution. Hybrid Work Environment Salary Range: $75,000 - $98,000 Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Data Projects Management (50%) Oversee and manage the execution of large University data projects. Serve as a liaison to ensure that institutional data projects are appropriately supported by units across Institutional Analysis. Collaborate with units across the University to deliver institutional data through new platforms and technology changes. Provide consultation to people working on University initiatives, advising on policies, standards, and guidelines. Support the Institutional Analysis Assistant Vice President and leadership team through analysis, planning, and project management. Document and maintain data standards, understanding, and appropriate use across data projects. Project Management (45%) Manage multiple data initiatives simultaneously. Communicate project status and progress with leadership and stakeholder groups across administrative, collegiate, and departmental units. Utilize best practices, techniques, and standards in project execution. Create consistent approaches for institutional data projects including processes, communication, and delivery. Ensure projects are coordinated and delivered on time. Coordinate and facilitate project member and stakeholder discussions and meetings including scheduling, facilitation, documentation, and follow-up. Other Duties as Assigned (5%) Qualifications Required Qualifications (please document on the resume): BA/BS with at least 6 years of experience in a related field Demonstrated ability to manage and direct multiple multi-year projects across a large organization Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver effective messages to a variety of constituents Project management experience Preferred Qualifications (please document on the resume): Demonstrated ability working with cross-organizational leadership Experience working with complex data Experience working with project management software University of Minnesota background Experience translating technical concepts into consumable resources for business areas About the Department The position reports within Enterprise Data Management and Reporting (EDMR), which helps University administrators, faculty, and staff get the full value from University data, reporting, and information assets through shared data, shared understanding, shared tools, and shared development. EDMR reports to Institutional Analysis (IA) within University Finance at the University of Minnesota, which also includes University Data & Institutional Reportin (UDIR), Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (ECRM), MyU Portal, and University Survey and Assessment Services (USAS) units.
