This role requires a high level of program management in support of the curricular development and instructional implementation of the Equity and Diversity Certificate Program and strategic partnerships with diversity and equity initiatives across the system campuses. The Program Coordinator develops content and outreach materials for the program website, course descriptions, registration instructions, and program instructor training materials and other internal and external communication channels. This is a full time civil service position, job code 8208A1. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $57,000. Essential Duties 1. (24%) Program Management: Provides program management for all aspects of the Education Program portfolio including the Equity and Diversity Certificate Program, systemwide departmental/unit/college training series and workshops, and external training requests and community consultations. Coordinates curriculum development, programming calendar, and communication with various participants and co-facilitators. Prepares, promotes, evaluates, and coordinates registration and programming to promote the Certificate program and departmental/unit workshops, consultations, projects, and initiatives. Coordinates, implements, and develops materials for departmental/unit training workshops for systemwide campus constituencies and external organizations/institutions. Recommends and assists with implementation of new programs and improvements in existing programs. 2. (24%) Developing Program Materials, Communications, and Outreach: Develops curriculum materials including course slide decks, lesson plans, co-facilitator training materials, and website and registration guides. Manages campus learning systems including Training Hub, Destiny One Registration System (DORS), Google Drive, and Canvas. Ensures that programmatic language and pedagogical approaches align with current best practices for creating accessible and equitable learning communities. Develops outreach and registration materials for events, programs, and activities for the ECHO Equity and Diversity Certificate Program and other Education Program initiatives that foster collaborations aimed at strengthening and reinforcing OED's mission and the strategic plan. Identifies partnership and consultation opportunities, analyze best channels for communication; coordinate and monitor the accessibility and usage of open-access course materials 3. (24%) Assessment and Evaluation: Coordinates assessment processes by collecting, reviewing, and implementing program evaluations. Manages program evaluation, enrollment, and learner demographic data and programmatic assessment tools. Coordinates responses to learner feedback provided via feedback form and/or email. Facilities evaluation review meetings for the Education Program team to review learner feedback and implement improvements and updates. Utilize program data to prepare high-level reports and presentation materials on the scope and impact of the program for delivery at OED Leadership Team, Board of Regents, and President's Cabinet meetings. 4. (24%) Instruction and Accessibility: Co-facilitates all certificate program discussions and workshops, providing host technology support and instructional implementation of curricular activities and content delivery. Develops and delivers learning outcomes, key language and concepts, dialogues and discussions, interactive learning activities, and action planni g and goal setting. Ensures program accessibility by coordinating with interpreters and access consultants. Provides verbal and written learner feedback. Facilitates accessibility protocols and provides individualized learner technology and navigation support. 5. (4%) Communication and direct support: Provide direct support for the Director of Education and Associate Directors, which includes communicating, organizing, scheduling, and program facilitation. Manages Education Program email account and programming calendar. Provides assistance to learners experiencing registration challenges. Processes and disseminates completion certificates at the end of each semester. Coordinates trainings, meetings and events, and fosters positive and reciprocal relationships with the co-facilitation team. Maintains registration, enrollment, and other tracking systems useful for Equity and Diversity Certificate Program. Coordinates the sliding scale scholarship program. Qualifications Essential: * BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution * High level of technology and virtual facilitation skills and experience * Demonstrated experience in, and an ongoing commitment to, working effectively with and across diverse communities: including people of color, underrepresented groups and new immigrant populations; Black, Native American and indigenous populations; people with disabilities; women; people of various gender identities and expressions and 2SLGBTQIA+ populations; and first-generation students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds * Demonstrated experience developing curriculum and facilitating engaging learning communities * Strong organizational skills * Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently * Demonstrated experience working to foster access for learners with disabilities for in-person and virtual workshops, meetings, and group discussions * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and constituencies * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting Preferred: * Prior work experience with multiple constituents in a higher education institution, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, and external community members * Experience in the development and delivery of educational programming around equity and diversity topics in a higher education setting * Web maintenance experience * Proficiency with university learning management systems including Training Hub, Destiny One Registration System (DORS), Canvas, Google Drive, and Zoom * Passion for operations and how systems collaborate together (e.g. always seeking answers to improve efficiency in processes) About the Department Please visit our website to learn more about the department - https://diversity.umn.edu/ Benefits Working at the University At the University of Minnesota, you'll find a flexible work environment and supportive colleagues who are interested...
