We are offering a unique opportunity for a Systems Engineer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is centered around managing the migration of applications from on-premise data centers to AWS. Working as part of a team of engineers, this role will be an integral part of our large-scale initiative to move workloads out of the data centers and into the cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other engineers and application owners to document necessary information to support the build and migration of applications to AWS

• Utilize tools such as Terraform and Chef to build and manage infrastructure in AWS

• Coordinate migration and cutover activities with application teams to ensure successful transitions

• Develop a strong understanding of cloud offerings, preferably AWS

• Gain experience working with Terraform, Chef, and Ansible, as well as Windows and Linux server operating systems

• Understand and implement code management practices and software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Assist in the streamlining and securing of how we build and manage the systems that support our operations

• Work on projects to refresh our infrastructure and expand our use of infrastructure as code across the enterprise

• Provide workstation support and contribute to engineering practices.

Requirements

Skills Overview:

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Working knowledge of cloud offerings, preferably AWS.

• Experience with Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.

• Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server operating systems.

• Familiarity with code management practices and SDLC.
