Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to join our team. This role involves a significant focus on investment administration and finance activities to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all accounting and investment duties. This includes tasks related to charitable funds such as gift, grant, and fee processing, fund statements issuance, and investing & monitoring of fund assets. The role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Support the completion of investment administration and finance activities in a timely manner

• Process gifts, grants, and fees from charitable funds

• Issue accurate fund statements

• Invest and monitor fund assets effectively

• Collaborate with the finance and investments team to support the organization's mission

• Balance the requirements of planned work responsibilities with spontaneous projects

• Work independently and as part of a team to accomplish a common philanthropic mission

• Utilize skills such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Data Entry in daily tasks.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong data entry skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

• Proven ability to adhere to ethical accounting practices.
