Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Professional Services industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role involves working with a variety of accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations, journal entries, sales and use tax, commissions, and general ledger entries.

Responsibilities:

• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process

• Manage and calculate sales and use tax to comply with legal requirements

• Oversee the processing of commissions for sales staff

• Maintain and update the general ledger for accurate financial records

• Utilize Microsoft SQL and pivot tables for data analysis

• Assist in audit preparation to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations

• Process month-end close procedures to finalize financial records for each month. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• Minimum of one year of experience in a professional accounting role.

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations.

• Experience in maintaining General Ledger.

• Skill in creating Journal Entries.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Ability to assist in Audit Preparation.

• Knowledge of Sales Tax procedures.

• Experience in Compensation and Commission calculations.

• Proficiency in using Pivot Tables.

• Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft SQL.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
