Description
We are in the process of recruiting a Sr. Accountant for our Financial Services Client based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position plays a critical role in the accounting function for the firm. This position is responsible for tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated reporting. The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to accounting standards and company guidelines while actively communicating with the broader accounting team as well as management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the firm's month-end close and consolidation.
• Maintain accurate customer records, intercompany transactions, accruals, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.
• Oversee the activity and financials of foreign offices, ensuring accuracy in sub advisory calculations.
• Handle the Expense Recharge process.
• Offer accounting support and guidance to financial analysts based in the U.S. and internationally.
• Manage the development and analysis of the consolidated global company budget and forecast process.
• Generate and analyze consolidated company financial statements, identifying budget-to-actual variances and providing commentary for senior leaders.
• Oversee ad hoc accounting team tasks such as audits, regulatory reporting, tax, system accounting maintenance, and process improvements.

Requirements
• Must possess strong proficiency in General Ledger management
• Experience in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and other advanced functions
• Demonstrated experience in performing Month End Close procedures
• Skills in Financial Analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of accounting software and databases
• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
