This role will focus on initiating and completing an economic impact study, working closely with senior leadership to deliver a comprehensive and insightful report to the Board of Regents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in institutional settings and will be adept at navigating various colleges and units to gather essential data. Key Responsibilities: Lead the economic impact study project from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results. Collaborate with senior leadership to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Work across different colleges and units within the university to obtain necessary data, ensuring cooperation and effective communication. Analyze data and compile comprehensive reports that reflect the economic impact of the University of Minnesota. Present findings to senior leadership and other key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Ensure all project activities align with the university's strategic goals and financial policies. Provide regular updates to the AVP of Finance and other senior leaders on project progress, challenges, and milestones. Address any issues or roadblocks promptly and effectively to keep the project on track. This job description provides a high-level overview of the temporary Special Project Manager role. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field, plus at least eight years of related experience; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in a similar role within an institutional setting, preferably in higher education. Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading and completing projects. Excellent data analysis and reporting skills. Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and units. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership. High level of organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in relevant software and tools used for data analysis and project management.
