Wells Fargo Senior Lead Data Management Analyst - Cloud Data Solutions Consultant in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Management Analyst / Cloud Data Solutions Consultant within Data Management & Insight (DMI) division. The Enterprise Data Strategy & Simplification team is within DMI and works with business leaders, Wells Fargo Technology, and other DMI Partners to formulate long range information approaches, frameworks, strategies, and plans aligned with Wells Fargo’s mission, strategy, goals, and objectives.

As part of this team, the Senior Lead Data Management Analyst / Cloud Data Solutions Consultant will translate Wells Fargo’s data vision into action and drive alignment of initiatives across Wells Fargo to the objectives and requirements set by the Enterprise Data Strategy. The position will have a unique view into where DMI is leading across all levels of the organization, understanding where we are today in our data maturity, identifying where we have data related opportunities not yet realized, and addressing challenges that need to be remediated to achieve our desired target state.

The Candidate we are seeking will have Financial Services or Wells Fargo business knowledge, data strategy formulating experience, accomplished data and data management related problem-solving skills, ability to define enterprise-grade data solutions/data strategy enablers and accelerators, and exceptional negotiating, and communications skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated collaboration skills to formulate best-in-class data solutions that maximize the value of Wells Fargo’s data to answer complex business questions and encourage business innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • As Cloud Data Solutions Consultant, you will lead the GCP Cloud migration efforts working with Wells Fargo line of business domain business, data and technology teams.

  • Analyze and recommend simplification and rationalization strategies of data as part of target state migration to GCP Cloud (Eg. Teradata to BigQuery migration)

  • Lead the solutioning of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

  • Accelerate ability to reach target state. Identify and recommend opportunities for synergistic investment, eliminate barriers, provide methods and best practices, and suggest speed-to-market innovation.

  • Collaborate to design key performance indicators and maturity metrics to track progress toward target state

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 2+ years of experience in planning and managing cloud application migration and large scale cloud platform deployment

  • 3+ years of experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at the executive level for enterprise-wide business initiatives

  • 3+ years of experience leading multiple workstreams, applications, or deliverables

  • 3+ years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles

  • 3+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map

  • 3+ years of ETL, data warehouse and data analytics delivery experience on internal or external cloud platforms

  • 6+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • 2+ years of experience presenting information to senior leaders

  • 3+ years of financial services experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Public, Private, Hybrid Cloud - preferably Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud (GCP)

  • Experienced with data migration from on prem to the Cloud, preferably GCP

  • Experience with diverse data platforms including Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Big Query, Hadoop MapR

  • Experience with diverse BI stacks, such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker

  • Experience with analysis and implementation of Cloud-first and Cloud-native strategies

  • Proven record of delivery across organizational lines – ability to influence outcomes at senior levels

  • Experience establishing and maturing data management metrics programs

  • Successful experience leading data strategy execution including: establishing leadership support, building stakeholder network, forming and collaborating with a team, defining execution roadmaps, establishing a cadence of execution, and operational/organizational process design and transition planning

  • Experience leading corporation through transition of data assets and analytics to the cloud including: Cloud Business Model Definition, outlining Product/Services, operating model, Defining migration strategy and approach, Collaborating on current and target reference architecture, defining a financial cost allocation model, defining user Enablement Strategy, Plan and Approach

  • Experience with risk management and working in highly regulated industries in a Financial industry

  • Innovative mindset, comfortable in operating in nebulous environments and defining structured approaches

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience

  • Preferred: Experience with top tier consulting firm.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$120,400.00 - $250,000.00
