RBC Senior Financial Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job Summary Job Description What is the Opportunity? The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a key partner to RBC US Wealth Management business leaders by providing expertise in the analysis, measurement and communication of financial and non-financial objectives and making recommendations regarding the financial management of the business. What will you do? Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations. Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models. Support strategic initiatives and long-term planning efforts. Prepare and review journal entries and perform other month-end activities. Work closely with Financial Control to understand/improve accounting procedures and practices related to revenue booking, expenses, data uploads and balance reconciliations. Review balances for reasonableness and accuracy. Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Present financial results and insights to senior management. Organize and manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment strategic objectives. Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis. Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. What do you need to Succeed? Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting 5-7+ years of experience in financial analysis Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Competencies Advanced Analytical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and interpretation of complex financial information. Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand and influence strategic business decisions through financial insights. Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills to effectively convey financial information to senior management and stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software / systems. Leadership: Capability to lead projects and mentor junior team members. Problem-Solving: Advanced problem-solving skills to address complex financial issues and provide strategic recommendations. What's in it for you?
