Position Overview Beacon Hill's client is looking for a Senior Events Manager who will be responsible for driving and supporting the vision, strategy, and execution of flagship conferences. This role involves supervising event marketers, creating exceptional attendee experiences, generating qualified leads, and driving the adoption of the organization's portfolio of services and offerings. The position is hybrid, based out of Minneapolis, MN. This is a contract position looking to have someone on through the end of November with the option to be hired on, full-time. Key Responsibilities Event Planning and Strategy

• Develop and execute the vision and strategy for major conferences
• Manage event planning, logistics, and execution for both in-person and virtual events

Leadership and Supervision

• Supervise and provide coaching, professional development, and performance management for event marketers
• Lead cross-functional planning committees and manage the events team

Budget and Vendor Management

• Manage events budget and expenses exceeding $1M
• Source and manage key vendors and sites; negotiate and manage all associated contracts

Stakeholder and Speaker Management

• Build relationships with renowned speakers, medical experts, and other thought leaders
• Ensure high-quality conference programs through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Event Promotion and Attendee Engagement

• Lead promotional activities and attendee communications to ensure strong participation and onsite engagement
• Oversee registration software and attendee grant program coordination

Reporting and Continuous Improvement

• Provide clear, well-written periodic reports to stakeholders, including pre and post-event evaluations, event production timelines, and return on event investments
• Proactively facilitate ideas to improve event quality and success

Qualifications Strategic Thinking and Initiative

• Ability to think strategically and embrace creative disruption while meeting event objective
• Self-starter with strong initiative and ownership

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university - additional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and/or Strategic Meeting Management (SMM) certification highly desired

Experience

• 8+ years' experience as an event director or key event leader
• 3+ years' direct supervisory experience
• Experience managing budgets well over $1M
• Proven success in conference production, meeting, and tradeshow management
